The USCIS is Hiring Entry-Level Attorneys Nationwide

The U.S. Citizens & Immigration Services Office (USCIS) of the Chief Counsel (OCC) has posted a vacancy announcement on USA Jobs for entry-level attorneys. They will be hiring a large number (exactly how large still to be determined) of people who either are about to graduate from law school (i.e., before July 1 of this year) or have already graduated on or after January 1, 2010. There will be positions both at the headquarters in Washington and at many field offices across the country.

OCC attorneys are mentors for new attorneys and are especially eager to help entry-level attorneys find their way. They are constantly working on intellectually challenging cutting-edge legal and policy issues and derive enormous fulfillment from having a significant and positive role to play in interpretations and policies that affect so many people’s daily lives.

The OCC is seeking candidates with strong academic law school records and who are interested in these job opportunities. The vacancy announcement provides all the details.
