The ABA Section of Antitrust Law Consumer Protection Committee is hosting two teleconferences on careers in consumer protection and privacy law for law students and young lawyers on February 1 and February 8, 2018 at 3 pm ET.
Join current consumer protection attorneys for a telephonic panel discussions to hear tips on pursuing consumer protection law as a possible career. Panelists will share their experiences as private practitioners and attorneys at government agencies including the Federal Trade Commission, the Canadian Competition Bureau, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and the Department of Justice. The discussions will also include ways the Section of Antitrust Law can serve as a valuable resource for law students.

Government and Non-Profit Consumer Protection Careers Panel (February 1): Lesley Fair (FTC), Ian Clarke (Department of Justice Canada, Competition Bureau), Maia Kats (Center for Science in the Public Interest), Khaliah N. Barnes (U.S. Department of Justice Office of Privacy and Civil Liberties) and Abby Stempson (National Association of Attorneys General).
