University of Detroit Mercy School of Law is Seeking an Associate Dean of Enrollment Management and Communications
The University of Detroit Mercy invites applications for the position of Associate Dean for Enrollment Management and Communications at the School of Law. Founded in 1912, the School of Law is located in the heart of Detroit’s growing downtown. The School of Law’s innovative curriculum integrates theory, doctrine and practice through its nationally-recognized Clinical Programs, Legal Writing Program and Law Firm Program. The School of Law places social justice and engagement in global affairs at the core of its educational missions. The School has an expanding dual degree program with the University of Windsor Faculty of Law.
This position reports directly to the Dean of the School of Law and works in a collaborative relationship with faculty and other departments within the School of Law, alumni and the legal community. Key responsibilities include providing the overall vision and administrative leadership in the admissions department, developing and implementing competitive marketing and recruitment strategies to strengthen the academic quality and diversity of the student body, and strategically leveraging resources to meet enrollment and retention goals in a competitive market. Travel is required.
This position requires a minimum of three years of enrollment management experience, with preference given to those who have experience in law schools and/or a Juris Doctor. In addition, because this position will coordinate admissions in our dual degree programs as well as the J.D. program, experience with international programs and/or multiple degree programs is a plus.
