Suffolk University Law School is seeking outstanding applicants for the full-time Assistant Director position in the Office of Professional and Career Development (PCD).  Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Professional and Career Development, the Assistant Director will assist law students with their professional development through career counseling, employer development and professional skills training. The Assistant Director will work collaboratively with the entire PCD team to develop professional development programs that most effectively prepare students for 21st century practice.

Qualification required:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) required.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in a law school career development or legal recruiting setting.
  • Ability to work independently and to exercise considerable judgment and discretion on matters pertaining to the career development office a must.
  • Outstanding communication skills to establish and cultivate rapport with students, alumni and employers are necessary.
  • Must be a team-player, possess eagerness to initiate new projects and ability to set priorities and employ time management.
  • Strong computer skills, including facility with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Counseling experience is helpful.
