Job Announcement: Attorney-Advisor, Office of the National Taxpayer Advocate
The Taxpayer Advocate Service seeks to fill an Attorney-Advisor position in the Office of the National Taxpayer Advocate in Washington, DC. This opening is for an experienced tax attorney, preferably with a LL.M. degree in taxation. Applications must be submitted by April 11, 2014 via USAJOBS.gov.
A TAS Attorney-Advisor renders advice and assistance to the National Taxpayer Advocate, which may involve handling critical, sensitive, or confidential matters; participates as a tax law advisor and provides technical analyses, guidance, and advice on systemic issues at the request of the National Taxpayer Advocate; assists in developing and writing the National Taxpayer Advocate’s Annual Report to Congress and in planning, developing, and implementing tax administration initiatives; and represents the National Taxpayer Advocate in meetings with internal and external stakeholders, both to present the National Taxpayer Advocate’s views and to solicit feedback on priority issues.
