The Presidential Management Fellows (PMF) Program Class of 2014 Application Period is Open and Will Close On October 15

Attention 3Ls and LLMs:

The Presidential Management Fellows (PMF) Program Class of 2014 application period opens Tuesday, October 1 and will close on Tuesday, October 15 at 11:59pm Eastern Time.  The entire application process, including submission of all necessary documents, must be completed during this time period.

The PMF Program offers paid two-year appointments with Federal Government Agencies. More than 80 Federal Agencies recruit through this program and offer positions in public policy and administration, domestic or international issues, information technology, human resources, engineering, health and medical sciences, financial management, and many other fields in support of public service programs.  Please note that Finalists cannot be appointed into attorney positions and Fellows cannot reappoint into attorney positions. Finalists seeking appointments as an attorney in the Federal Government may wish to look for such opportunities outside the PMF Program through USAJOBS or on individual agency websites. However, attorney positions are excepted service so there is no public notice requirement for job vacancies.

How to Apply:

The Class of 2014 Presidential Management Fellows (PMF) Program Application launched today, Tuesday, October 1, 2013.  You may access the application on USAJOBS, or from the PMF homepage.  Remember to study the PMF Assessment Preparation Guide before you begin the on-line assessment portion of the application.  Also, the assessment is not timed, but be sure to submit your completed application by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on Tuesday, October 15, 2013.

Eligibility Requirements:

  1. If you will meet all graduate degree requirements (even though you have not necessarily graduated), including the completion or successful defense of any required thesis or dissertation (as required), during the academic year (September 1, 2013 – August 31, 2014), you are eligible to apply for the PMF Class of 2014.
  2. If you obtained your advance degree from a qualifying college or university no more than 2 years prior to the opening date of the announcement for the Class of 2014 application, you are eligible to apply.
