Haitian Lawyers Association Scholarship Program and Application – Deadline is March 15, 2022!

ELIGIBILITY:

Must be of Haitian descent or demonstrate involvement with the Haitian community

Must be in good academic standing

Must submit a transcript from a Florida Law School

Must submit a personal statement (maximum two pages) that describes the student’s involvement in the community, the student’s financial need for the scholarship as well as the reason(s) the student believes he/she is better qualified for the scholarship

Must submit a professional headshot photo to be included in the gala program book in the event that the applicant is chosen as the scholarship recipient

Each applicant is required to join HLA ($25 for law students a year) Each applicant will intern with HLA or an HLA member’s law firm for at least 50 hours

Each applicant that is awarded a scholarship is required to attend the gala and/or record a 30-45 second video to be played at the gala

Each selected student will be awarded at least $1,200.
