View Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program Reforms!
Reforms have finally come to the PSLF program. Last month, the U.S. Department of Education announced long-awaited reforms to the federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program.
The reforms expand eligibility for thousands of graduates including law school graduates. To take advantage of the changes to the program, eligible borrowers who have not previously qualified for PSLF must apply before Oct. 31, 2022.
Recently several borrowers – including law graduates – have been contacted about renewed eligibility for PSLF – with more communications from the Department of Education expected in the coming weeks and months. If you think you may be eligible under the newly reformed program, please keep an eye out for that communication from the USDOE.
