The Entertainment Law Initiative Writing Contest challenges law students to identify and research a pressing legal issue facing the music industry today and outline a proposed solution in a 3,000-word essay. One winner and two runners-up will be selected to receive a total of $15,000 in tuition scholarships, tickets to GRAMMY Week events, and more. Click here for official rules and more information.
Join the Recording Academy for a virtual informational session about the Entertainment Law Initiative and ELI Writing Contest. Students and legal educators alike are invited to learn more about the contest, rules, submission guidelines, and gain valuable insight on crafting a top tier paper submission.

Attendees will hear from entertainment attorneys and ELI Executive Committee members Laurie Soriano and Ken Abdo, as well as 2019 winner Cameron Berkowitz and 2021 winner Sophia Sofferman. The Recording Academy’s Senior West Region Director Neil Crilly will moderate.
