Please join us on Wednesday, April 14th at 12:00 p.m. for a virtual discussion with The Honorable Rosemary Barkett of The Hague-based Iran-United States Claims Tribunal on the topic of empowering women in the legal profession. Judge Barkett has had a distinguished career, including serving as a Circuit Judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and as Florida’s first female Supreme Court Justice. She will share her professional journey and personal experiences and offer insights into the state of women advancement and gender equality in the field of law.

About Judge Rosemary Barkett: 

Rosemary Barkett is a judge of the Iran–United States Claims Tribunal located in The Hague, Netherlands. Previously, she served as a United States Circuit Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit for two decades. Prior to her nomination for that post, she was Chief Justice of the Florida Supreme Court. Born in Mexico to parents who were emigrants from Syria, she is recognized as the first woman, Arab American, and Hispanic judge on the Florida Supreme Court.
