The CDO has two great programs and a couple of important deadlines coming up this week!

Also, please note that registration for the upcoming Florida Bar 2010 Solo and Small Firm Interview Program will now begin on March 3 and not on February 17 as stated in last week’s email.  Registration forms will be available in the CDO starting March 3.

Deadline to apply for the Florida Supreme Court Summer 2010 Internship Program is at 5:00 p.m.  Applications must be submitted to the CDO.

“Going Solo:  Everything You Need to Know about Opening Your Own Shop”

Presentation by Spencer Aronfeld, UM Law alumnus 12:30 p.m., Room 108

As we approach graduation, the Career Development Office recognizes that some of you may be thinking about opening your own law firm or partnering with classmates to open a firm.  If you have given any thought to going solo, whether in the immediate future or later in your career, then we highly recommend that you join us for one of its most popular programs as it hosts UM Law alumnus Spencer Aronfeld.  During his always entertaining and dynamic presentation, “Going Solo: Everything You Need to Know about Opening Your Own Shop,” Mr. Aronfeld, founder of Aronfeld Trial Lawyers, will tell his story about his transition from law student to successful solo practitioner and will share invaluable tips on how to start a legal practice.
