Boston College Law School Seeks Associate Director, Employer Outreach

Job Description:

The Associate Director, Employer Outreach will develop a strategic outreach plan to strengthen existing and develop targeted relationships with public and private employers in the legal and business sectors to increase short-term and permanent employment opportunities for JD students and recent graduates.  The Associate Director will collaborate with the counseling team on various programming and training efforts and otherwise feed market intelligence into the efforts of the law school.  The Associate Director reports to the Assistant Dean, Career Services.

Requirements:

  • minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business or a related field
  • minimum of four years of related outreach and relationship management experience to include sales, marketing, advancement and/or recruiting experience
  • advanced knowledge and a high level of comfort with Excel, online research, resources and social media including LinkedIn and the ability to develop various databases
  • must have flexibility to work hours outside of normal business hours to meet office needs
  • local and national travel required
  • Required application materials include a resume, cover letter and list of references.

Preferred:

  • JD from an accredited law school is strongly preferred
  • Previous recruiting/sourcing experience in a law firm is a plus
  • Preference for candidates with significant experience analyzing and interpreting data to drive strategyreference will be given to candidates with significant work experience as an attorney and prior experience in a career services department of a law school or university, in a legal or corporate recruitment setting or in development and/or marketing
