Milwaukee Law Firms invite you to the Annual Home for the Holidays Reception

The law firms of Foley & Lardner LLP; Godfrey & Kahn, S.C.; Michael Best & Friedrich LLP; Quarles & Brady LLP; and Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren, S.C. will host their annual “Home for the Holidays” receptions for first-year law students attending out-of-state law schools.

The receptions will be held on Monday, December 30.  Please see the invitation which includes location, time and RSVP details.

                      Bricker & Eckler LLP – Charles H. Walker Diversity & Inclusion Scholarship

Bricker & Eckler LLP is pleased to once again present the Charles H. Walker Diversity & Inclusion Scholarship for 2014.  Established to provide first-year law students with a valuable employment experience early in their legal career, this scholarship will be awarded to a candidate who demonstrates leadership skills, academic strength, service to the community and an overall commitment to excellence.

Bricker & Eckler LLP proudly dedicate this scholarship in honor of their partner and trusted friend Charles H. Walker, whose career and service to the community exemplify a strong commitment to both the legal profession and Bricker’s tradition of diversity and inclusion.  For many years, he served as a recruiter and mentor to the firm’s younger attorneys and helped guide Bricker & Eckler’s diversity and inclusion commitment.

Students in their first year of legal studies currently enrolled in an ABA-approved law school are eligible to apply for the scholarship.  One scholarship in the form of a $10,000 cash award (less any applicable taxes and withholdings) towards law school tuition and other law school related expenses will be awarded. In addition, the scholarship recipient will receive a paid summer associate position for the summer of 2014.

Eligible candidates should complete the application, which can be downloaded from the firm’s website and forward it with their résumé, writing sample, LSAT score, official undergraduate and graduate transcripts and law school grades (when available) to the attention of Patricia M. Lach, Recruiting/Professional Development Coordinator, Bricker & Eckler LLP, 100 South Third Street, Columbus, OH 43215.

All applications must be complete when submitted and must be received by February 14, 2014.  Scholarship finalists will be interviewed by members of the Firm’s Recruiting Committee and we hope to make the final selection by the Spring.
