WALRAA’s Annual Summer in the Capital: A Fall Recruitment Preview for Law Students & Employers
The Diversity Committee of the Washington Area Legal Recruitment Administrators Association (WALRAA) is pleased to invite you to the second Annual Summer in the Capital: A Fall Recruitment Preview for Law Students & Employers on Monday, June 17, 2013 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Washington, 1150 22nd Street, NW, Washington, D.C.
At last year’s inaugural event, 40 employers participated and students from over 30 different law school schools were in attendance. The purpose of this event is to bring together legal employers and rising second-year law students (with an expected graduation date of May 2015) who contribute to the diversity of the legal profession and are interested in practicing law in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. This will be a great opportunity to network with a mix of representatives from firms, public interest organizations and government agencies and circulate resumes before the start of the fall recruitment season in an informal setting. Each employer will have a table where they can speak with interested students about their firm and its culture.
Rising second-year students are encouraged to participate. THERE IS NO FEE TO ATTEND — you are simply asked to RSVP by Monday, June 3rd by clicking here. A confirmation email, with detailed information, will be sent to all participants in advance of the event.
