Call for Entries for the 2013 Mary Moers Wenig Student Writing Competition – Deadline: Friday, June 14, 2013

Law students (an individual or co-authors), currently enrolled as a J.D. or LL.M. candidates in an ABA-accredited law school within the United States or its possessions, are invited to submit an original, previously unpublished work that relates to an issue within one or more of the following topics in the area of trusts and estates:

  • Business Planning
  • Charitable Planning
  • Elder Law
  • Employee Benefits
  • Fiduciary Accounting
  • Fiduciary Administration
  • Fiduciary Income Taxation
  • Fiduciary Litigation
  • Estate Planning and Drafting
  • Professional Responsibility
  • Substantive Laws for the Gratuitous Transmission of Property
  • Wealth Transfer Taxation (Estate, Gift and GST Tax)

1st   Place: $ 5,000 and publication in ACTEC Law Journal.

2nd Place: $ 3,000 publication at www.actec.org and possible publication in ACTEC Law Journal.

3rd Place: $ 1,000 publication at www.actec.org and possible publication in ACTEC Law Journal.

Papers will be judged anonymously by a panel appointed by ACTEC’s Legal Education Committee.
