Florida House of Representatives 2012-2013 Legislative Intern Program

The Legislative Intern Program provides college students and graduate students with training in the legislative process and public policy making.
Participants are assigned to House committees and subcommittees, and on a limited basis, leadership offices. Under the guidance of senior House staff, assignments may include research, bill drafting and analysis, oversight activities, and other tasks relating to policy or fiscal areas.
Benefits: The rate of pay for participants is $13 per hour, along with payment of 18 hours of in-state tuition or monthly stipend.
Eligibility: Applicants must be a Florida resident or be enrolled in a Florida school at the time of application. Applicants must have received their bachelor’s degree prior to beginning the internship.
