To all of our returning students, welcome back to campus!  For our first year students, welcome to the University of Miami School of Law.  Here is what is happening this week at the CDO:

Saturday, August 15 – Sunday, August 23

Bidding for Phase II // Session I of OCI will take place from Saturday, August 15 at 9:00 a.m. through Sunday, August 23 at 11:00 p.m.  Please consult the email you received on Friday for more information on the bidding process.  Be sure to speak to your CDO advisor if you have any questions.

Tuesday, August 18

Get Ready for Fall OCI:  Resume Workshop, 12:30 p.m., Room 108.

Make sure you put your best foot forward during OCI bidding by submitting the best resume possible.

Wednesday, August 19

Judicial Clerkship Season Kick-Off Reception and Information Panel, 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., The Alma Jennings Foundation Student Lounge

Students and alumni are encouraged to attend the Judicial Clerkship Information Panel and Reception.  Hear current federal judges discuss what they look for in a judicial clerkship candidate.  Immediately following the panel is a networking reception where attendees can meet judges and law clerks who graduated from UM Law.

DOJ Honors and Summer Law Intern Program Program Presentation, 12:30 p.m., The Alma Jennings Foundation Student Lounge

The US Department of Justice is one of the nation’s biggest legal employers.  Learn more about the DOJ Honors Program for graduating law students and recent alumni as well as the Summer Law Intern Program for 2L  students.  The deadline to apply for these programs is September 8, 2009 at midnight.
