Join President Obama’s “Champions of Change” Live Stream Event on October 13th
The White House Office of Public Engagement and the Access to Justice Initiative at the U.S. Department of Justice invite you to join President Obama’s Champions of Change live stream event on October 13, 2011 from 1:30 – 3:30 pm EST at the Legal Corps office. This national, on-line conversation among law students and faculty, public service lawyers, and Attorney General Eric Holder, seeks to get thousands of future agents of legal change talking about what lawyers can do to close the justice gap. The range and quality of public interest lawyers’ accomplishments will be illustrated by honoring 16 exemplar public service Champions at the White House, hoping to inspire students to add their talents to the effort to secure basic rights for all Americans.
The event takes place on Thursday, October 13, 2011, from 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. at the Chesterfield Smith Center for Equal Justice, 3000 Biscayne Boulevard, Suite 100, Miami, Florida 33137. Light refreshments will be served.
