The Practicing Lawyers Guide to Social Media – Part 2

The Florida Bar’s Business Law Section invites you to attend “The Practicing Lawyers Guide to Social Media – Part 2” on Monday, November 8, 2010 from 12:15 p.m. – 1:15 p.m. (one Florida CLE ethics credit will be awarded to each participant).

Kelly Newcomb, from LexisNexis Martindale-Hubbell, will discuss how lawyers are using social media and the ethical and legal issues surrounding attorney engagement on sites like Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Martindale-Hubbell Connected.  The session will also provide a broad overview of laws, regulations, rulings and best practices as they relate to discovery, employment law, copyright, trademark, libel, defamation, privacy, and social media policies, which lawyers should be aware of when advising their clients on the subject.
