font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif;\">The legal community of New Hampshire is excited to announce a new initiative for 1L law students with a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.\u00a0 Five of the state\u2019s leading law firms are each offering a ten-week, paid Summer Associate position during summer 2022.\u00a0 The firms, in collaboration with the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law, will partner together to offer joint programming for their participating students throughout the summer, designed to introduce the participants to life in the Granite State.\u00a0 Each of the firms will provide a meaningful law firm experience to students who have completed one year of law school and who will contribute to the diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts of the firms and the New Hampshire legal community.<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"xmsonormal\"><b><i><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif;\">Timeline:<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"xmsonormal\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif;\">Applications accepted on a rolling basis through January 14, 2022\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<li class=\"xmsonormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif;\">Interviews will be conducted (remotely) in late January and\/or early February 2022<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"xmsonormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif;\">Offers will be made by early February 2022<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"xmsonormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif;\">2022 program will run June 1, 2022 \u2013 August 9, 2022<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"xdefault\"><b><i><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif; color: black;\">What Accepted Students Can Expect? <\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"xdefault\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif;\">The 1L students who receive job offers from one of the five participating law firms for this ten-week paid internship will be working at one of the firm\u2019s offices in Concord or Manchester, New Hampshire, and as may be applicable on occasion at participating firms\u2019 offices in other locations.\u00a0 Students accepted through the program will have the opportunity <span style=\"color: black;\">to experience legal practice and life in New Hampshire, participate in professional development programs, and build their social and business networks within the firm and the larger legal community.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"xdefault\"><b><i><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif; color: black;\">Who Should Apply? <\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"xdefault\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif; color: black;\">First-year law students attending an ABA accredited law school anywhere in the United States are eligible to apply.\u00a0 Candidates must commit and contribute to the advancement of diversity, equity, and inclusion.\u00a0 Applications will also be reviewed based upon the applicant\u2019s academic record, writing skills, analytical and interpersonal skills, and personal statement.<\/span><span style=\"color: black; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"xdefault\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif; color: black;\">Each of the firms recognizes that diversity exists in many different forms, including, but not limited to, race, ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, and disability, and is critically important to providing excellent client service and an enriched work environment for its attorneys and staff.\u00a0 Each participating firm is an equal employment opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will be considered.<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif;\">Interested students should submit an application form, resume, current law school transcript, a writing sample of no longer than 5 pages, and a brief personal statement describing their anticipated commitment and contribution to this program and\/or why they believe diversity, equity, and inclusion are important in the legal profession.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"xmsonormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif;\">Applicants should not wait for transcripts to be available before applying, but\u2014rather\u2014supplement their applications with the transcript when it becomes available.\u00a0 If an applicant\u2019s transcript will not be available by the date the application period closes, but will be available by January 20th, the applicant should submit their application prior to the above deadline with a supplemental statement, certified by their law school\u2019s registrar, confirming the date their transcript will be available.<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;
