This year&#8217;s two-day virtual academic Symposium includes discussion of thoughtful scholarship from authors on issues such as legislative innovation, the pharmaceutical supply chain, vaccine-related liability, FDA\u2019s One Health initiative, Emergency Use Authorizations, regulation of personal protective equipment, and new diagnostic tests, and other topics.<\/p>\n<p>In collaboration with the Georgetown University Law Center and the O\u2019Neill Institute of Global and National Health Law, this year\u2019s topic, \u201c<strong>This Teachable Moment: How COVID-19 Provides Lessons from FDA\u2019s Past and Present That Will Benefit Its Future Preparedness<\/strong>,\u201d<em><strong> takes place on November 12\u201313 as a completely virtual program<\/strong><\/em>. This academic Symposium will focus on\u00a0the federal response to COVID-19 and potential legislative and regulatory changes that might help inform federal agencies\u2019 responses to future pandemics.
