Fellows have gone on to pursue successful careers in affordable housing law, legal aid, civil rights advocacy, no n- pro fit leadership and government.<\/p>\n<p>For over 50 years, BPI has worked to create a just society. We have a long track record of innovative, effective advocacy across a broad range of social justice issues. Our work today focuses on addressing the challenges of poverty and racial and economic inequity, increasing housing and educational opportunity building vital communities, strengthening early\u00a0 childhood\u00a0 learning,\u00a0 reforming\u00a0 our\u00a0 criminal\u00a0 justice system, and improving governmental integrity and efficiency. BPI takes a multi-disciplinary approach, including legal and policy research, policy development, organizing, and litigation. A collaborative and stimulating workplace, BPI is committed to offering opportunities to learn, grow, and contribute meaningfully to work that advances a just society.<\/p>\n<p><strong>REQUIREMENTS <\/strong>of the Fellowship are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Either a JD or MA\/MS in public policy or related field (by Fellowship start)<\/li>\n<li>An enterprising mindset, a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and a passion for social justice<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated interest or experience in one of BPl&#8217;s program areas<\/li>\n<li>Accomplished oral and writing skills<\/li>\n<li>Strong academic record<\/li>\n<li>Initiative, creativity and flexibility<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a variety of organizations, constituent groups, government agencies, and civic leaders<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Fellows receive an annual salary of $54,000 with medical and dental coverage.
