Consideration is given to the candidate\u2019s academic achievement, involvement in community<br \/>\nservice, demonstrated leadership abilities and advancement of diversity in the legal profession.\u00a0The recipient will receive a one-time $5,000 scholarship.<\/p>\n<p>ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:<\/p>\n<p>To be eligible for the Cole Schotz Diversity Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The applicant must be a full-time student in good standing who will complete his\/her first year of law school at an ABA accredited Law School by July 1, 2019.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The applicant must have achieved a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 at his\/her undergraduate school and law school.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The applicant must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States of America as well as attend an ABA accredited law school in a state where Cole Schotz\u2019s offices are located:<br \/>\nDelaware, Florida, Maryland, New Jersey, New York or Texas.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The applicant must not be the recipient of another diversity scholarship award.<\/p>\n<p>APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:<\/p>\n<p>Applicants must complete and submit on or before July 1, 2019 the accompanying application form by <a href=\"mailto:genglert@coleschotz.com\">e-mail<\/a> with the following mandatory additional items:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Official undergraduate transcript;<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Official first-year law school transcript;<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Current resume;<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 A typed personal statement of 750 words or less.\u00a0 The statement must include\u00a0information about (1) why the candidate wishes to pursue a career in law;
