Given Florida\u2019s elderly demographic, we prioritize advocacy related to low\u2013income elderly. While the organization is relatively new, our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.floridahealthjustice.org\/team.html\">team <\/a>has significant experience and expertise in publicly funded state and local health programs, effective advocacy skills and well-established networks with national health policy experts, as well as with local advocates and providers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ABOUT THE POSITION:<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>FHJP is interviewing for a candidate to apply for a one-year, full-time Borchard Fellowship. For more information on the fellowship go to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.borchardcla.org\/fellowship-program\">website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The deadline to submit materials to FHJP for consideration as a Borchard Fellow is <strong>March 27, 2019. <\/strong>FHJP\u2019s selection of a candidate to apply for the Borchard Fellowship is not an offer or guarantee of employment. If the Borchard Foundation awards the FHJP candidate a fellowship, she or he will work on a project that helps identify and address barriers to medically necessary services for frail and disabled South Florida residents.<\/p>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The candidate needs to be eligible for a Borchard <a href=\"https:\/\/www.borchardcla.org\/fellowship-program\">Fellowship<\/a>.
