The Labor and Employment Section of the Florida Bar.<\/p>\n<p>Who can apply for this scholarship?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Current 2Ls and 3Ls<\/li>\n<li>Enrolled in a Juris Doctor degree-seeking program at a Florida Law School (students visiting from an out-of-state school are <em>not<\/em> eligible)<\/li>\n<li>With a demonstrated interest in Labor &amp; Employment Law<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>What is being awarded?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>$1000 to one student <em>or<\/em> $500 split between two equal candidates<\/li>\n<li>The scholarship check is accompanied by a recognition plaque from the Section<\/li>\n<li>Reasonable travel expenses can be <em>reimbursed<\/em> (up to $350) to attend the Section\u2019s Award Ceremony &amp; Hall of Fame Induction, held on June 26, 2019 in Boca Raton, during the Florida Bar\u2019s Annual Convention (travel expenses can include <em>one<\/em> night of conference hotel expense)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>What must I do to be considered for the scholarship?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare a cover page that includes\n<ul>\n<li>Your contact information, school, and year (2L or 3L)<\/li>\n<li>Completed &amp; anticipated labor and employment related course work (identifying when courses were taken or will be taken)<\/li>\n<li>Relevant professional experience (this can include job\/intern placements for the summer of 2019)<\/li>\n<li>Your involvement in school organizations (including Law Reviews and Journals) <em>and<\/em> any pro bono\/volunteer activity<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>In lieu of the above you may submit a resume or CV, which is supplemented with your relevant course work. <\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A 250-500 word statement expressing your interest in Labor &amp; Employment Law<\/li>\n<li>Your name should be on each page of your submission<\/li>\n<li>Your school name MUST be in the subject line of the email sent <a href=\"mailto:laborandemploymentscholarship@gmail.com\">via email<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>When is the application deadline?
