{"id":842,"date":"2010-02-10T12:46:05","date_gmt":"2010-02-10T15:46:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cdo.law.miami.edu\/?p=842"},"modified":"2010-08-13T13:49:04","modified_gmt":"2010-08-13T16:49:04","slug":"2010-loyola-patent-law-interview-program","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cdo.law.miami.edu\/?p=842","title":{"rendered":"2010 Loyola Patent Law Interview Program"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Loyola University Chicago School of Law is hosting the\u00a02010 Annual Patent Law Interview Program <strong>on Thursday, July 29 and Friday, July 30 in Chicago, Illinois.\u00a0<\/strong> This is a nationwide interview program that targets patent law employers and rising second and third-year J.D. students with engineering and\/or technical science academic backgrounds.<\/p>\n<p>If you have an undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering or a technical science and are interested in patent law, you may want to consider registering for the program.\u00a0 This program gives qualified law students the opportunity to interview with patent law firms, as well as law firms, corporations and government agencies with patent law departments.\u00a0 Please note that students do not need to be patent bar eligible to register for the Patent Law Interview Program.\u00a0 However, many employers make patent bar eligibility a requirement for bidding, and most employers prefer patent bar eligible students.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Student Registration<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Student registration will be handled online this year.\u00a0 <strong>Student registration will open on Monday, February 15 and close on Monday, March 8.<\/strong> \u00a0To register, please visit the program website at <strong><a title=\"http:\/\/www.luc.edu\/law\/career\/patent_students.html\" href=\"http:\/\/www.luc.edu\/law\/career\/patent_students.html\">http:\/\/www.luc.edu\/law\/career\/patent_students.html<\/a>.<\/strong>\u00a0 At this stage of registration, you will only need to enter some basic information (you will upload your resume and bid on interviews later in the semester).\u00a0 Please note that our school is listed alphabetically as the University of Miami School of Law on the registration form\u2019s drop down menu of law schools.\u00a0 We will be paying the $35 registration fee for our students, so you will not be charged anything when you register online.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Please direct any questions about the program to Karen Warren, the Patent Program Liaison in our office, at <strong><a title=\"mailto:kwarren@law.miami.edu blocked::mailto:kwarren@law.miami.edu\" href=\"mailto:kwarren@law.miami.edu\">kwarren@law.miami.edu<\/a><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Loyola University Chicago School of Law is hosting the\u00a02010 Annual Patent Law Interview Program on Thursday, July 29 and Friday, July 30 in Chicago, Illinois.\u00a0 This is a nationwide interview program that targets patent law employers and rising second and third-year J.D. students with engineering and\/or technical science academic backgrounds.
