Finalists appointed as PMFs are hired by Federal Agencies and engage in solving domestic and\/or international issues in areas such as public administration, engineering, technology, science, criminal justice, health, privacy, cybersecurity, and financial management, to name a few.\u00a0 The PMF Program seeks eligible graduate students every year who want to make a difference through public service. \u00a0More information about application and selection process is available on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pmf.gov\">PMF website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>The Class of 2018 PMF application period will be open from October 23, 2017 \u2013 November 1, 2017<\/u><\/strong> and the announcement can be found <a href=\"http:\/\/www.USAJOBS.gov\">online<\/a> when it opens (simply search for \u201cPresidential Management Fellows\u201d during the open period).\u00a0 The announcement will only be visible during the application period.\u00a0 To learn more about eligibility and how to apply, please review the \u201cBecome a PMF\u201d section on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pmf.gov\">PMF website<\/a>.\u00a0Carefully review the \u201cApplication Process\u201d and \u201cApplication Tips\u201d sections on the PMF website before working on your on-line application AND you are encouraged to apply early.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>The selection process for the PMF Program consists of the following<\/u><\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Complete the On-line Application, which includes a resume and transcript (and\/or alternative), and supporting documentation for any of the following that apply to you:\n<ul>\n<li>requesting reasonable accommodations,<\/li>\n<li>claiming veterans&#8217; preference, and\/or<\/li>\n<li>claiming Native American\/Indian preference.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Complete the On-Line Assessment (allow for 2-3 hours to complete).\u00a0 Please review the <strong>Assessment Preparation Guide<\/strong> for additional information, which will be available shortly before the announcement opens.)<\/li>\n<li>Finalists will be selected in mid-November<\/li>\n<li>Finalists will be invited to participate in the Virtual PMF Hiring Fair in December and can search PMF appointment opportunities on the PMF website (available positions updated throughout the year)<\/li>\n<li>Finalists will have 12 months from the date selected as Finalists to secure appointment with agency.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you have any questions, please email <a href=\"mailto:kwarren@law.miami.edu\">Karen Warren<\/a>\u00a0in the CDO who is the\u00a0PMF liaison for the University of Miami School of Law.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Presidential Management Fellows (PMF) Program offers paid two-year appointments with Federal Government Agencies.\u00a0 This rigorous fellowship includes challenging assignments, developmental assignments, and networking opportunities.
