(Prudential) to provide a meaningful summer internship opportunity to a highly motivated first-year law student with a disability.\u00a0 Through this partnership, the Commission will select a law student with a disability to join Prudential\u2019s 2014 summer law intern class in the New Jersey tri-state area.\u00a0 The internship runs between June 2 and August 8, 2014.\u00a0 The intern will be paid a stipend of approximately $10,000, which shall accrue and be paid on an hourly basis.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Responsibilities<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p>The intern will have the opportunity to work with attorneys who support the broad reach of the Prudential businesses.\u00a0 He or she may also have an opportunity to practice interviewing skills, prepare presentations, and shadow attorneys on various projects.\u00a0 In addition, the intern will participate in the summer intern training program, which includes presentations by Prudential attorneys that highlight different areas of the business and the legal department.\u00a0 Of particular note, the intern will be paired with an attorney-mentor, who will provide guidance on projects.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Qualifications<\/span><\/b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Applicants must be:\u00a0 (1) law students with a disability; (2) ABA members; <i>and <\/i>(3) enrolled at an ABA-accredited law school.\u00a0 In addition, they must have:\u00a0 (1) successfully completed the first year of law school and be scheduled for graduation in spring 2016 (full-time students) or spring 2017 (part-time students) <i>and<\/i> (2) a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale or the equivalent.\u00a0 The ideal applicant will have financial or business-related experience or interest.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">How to Apply<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p>To apply, you must submit a cover letter, resume, list of three references, and copy of your transcript to\u00a0<a title=\"link\" href=\"mailto:Tovah.Miller@americanbar.org\" target=\"_blank\">Tovah Miller\u00a0<\/a>.
