{"id":5888,"date":"2013-09-26T11:54:57","date_gmt":"2013-09-26T14:54:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cdo.law.miami.edu\/?p=5888"},"modified":"2013-09-26T11:54:57","modified_gmt":"2013-09-26T14:54:57","slug":"attend-the-the-presidential-management-fellows-program-coffee-chat-for-information-about-the-program-and-the-application-process","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cdo.law.miami.edu\/?p=5888","title":{"rendered":"Attend the The Presidential Management Fellows Program Coffee Chat for Information About the Program and the Application Process"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Attention 3Ls, and LLMs:<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The Presidential Management Fellows (PMF) Program offers paid two-year federal government fellowships.\u00a0 More than 80 Federal agencies recruit through this program and offer positions in public policy and administration, domestic or international issues, information technology, human resources, engineering, health and medical sciences, law (very limited), financial management and many other fields in support of public service programs.<\/p>\n<p>The PMF Program Office invites interested applicants with any unique questions regarding the program and application process to join the Coffee Chat on <b>Wednesday, October 2<sup>nd<\/sup>, <\/b>any time between 2 and 4 PM (Eastern Time).<\/p>\n<p>The <b>PMF Class of 2014<\/b> <b>tentative application period is from Tuesday, October 1 through Tuesday, October 15, 2013<\/b>. More information will follow.<\/p>\n<p>We recommend you apply early and set aside ample time to complete the entire application.<\/p>\n<p>The <a title=\"http:\/\/www.pmf.gov\/becomeapmf\/index.aspx\" href=\"http:\/\/www.pmf.gov\/becomeapmf\/index.aspx\">Become A PMF<\/a> section on the <a title=\"link\" href=\"http:\/\/www.pmf.gov\" target=\"_blank\">PMF website\u00a0<\/a>will soon be updated for the PMF Class of 2014 application cycle. Most information on the website is from last year\u2019s application process, but the information will give you a good overview of the general application process. If applicants have specific questions, they should consider dropping in to the session.<\/p>\n<p>The Coffee Chat will be conducted on-line through Adobe Connect and will have dedicated PMF Program Office staff to answer questions as submitted. <b>On October 2<sup>nd<\/sup>, applicants can <a title=\"link\" href=\"http:\/\/opm.adobeconnect.com\/pmfapplicantchat\/\" target=\"_blank\">connect here <\/a>and select \u201cEnter as a Guest.\u201d\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Adobe Connect computer capability can be tested beforehand by going to this<a title=\"link\" href=\"http:\/\/opm.adobeconnect.com\/common\/help\/en\/support\/meeting_test.htm\" target=\"_blank\"> link<\/a>.\u00a0Adobe Connect is also supported on mobile devices.
