{"id":517,"date":"2009-10-28T16:02:20","date_gmt":"2009-10-28T19:02:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cdo.law.miami.edu\/?p=517"},"modified":"2010-08-13T14:09:53","modified_gmt":"2010-08-13T17:09:53","slug":"to-all-graduating-students-interested-in-a-career-working-for-social-justice","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cdo.law.miami.edu\/?p=517","title":{"rendered":"To All Graduating Students Interested in a Career Working for Social Justice"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Information Session<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>An organizer from the DART Center will be on the University of Miami campus to present information to applicants interested in careers working for social, economic, and racial justice.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The session will discuss:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strengthening relationships through One-on-Ones<\/li>\n<li>Developing leaders in communities to take direct action on issues of injustice<\/li>\n<li>Congregation-based coalition building<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">The Dart Center\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The DART Center has built coalitions throughout the country that have won important victories on a broad set of justice issues including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Education reform in low-performing public schools<\/li>\n<li>Fair immigration policies<\/li>\n<li>Police misconduct<\/li>\n<li>Living Wage campaigns &amp; job training<\/li>\n<li>Affordable housing, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Where and When<\/span><\/em>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Monday, November 9, 6pm \u2013 7pm at Toppel Career Center.
