Specific topics to cover topics include qualifications and responsibilities of board members, ethics issues of concern to board members, and the benefits of\u00a0community service. Speakers will also discuss their professional and personal experiences as board members. An attorney who serves on a corporate board may also be invited in order to compare the different needs and skills.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Speakers<\/span><\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Devang Desai is a partner at Gaebe, Mullen, Antonelli, &amp; DiMatteo, concentrating on insurance defense, products liability, transactional and commercial litigation, and bad faith consultation and litigation.\u00a0 He currently serves as President of the University of Miami Law School Alumni Association and is a director on the University of Miami Alumni Association Board.\u00a0 He also serves as a member of the South Florida Council, Boy Scouts of America Executive Board.<\/li>\n<li>Elizabeth Pryor Johnson, is a shareholder at Fowler White Burnett involved in all aspects of labor and employment law. She represents employers, from the private, public and non-profit sectors, on the full range of employment-related matters and disputes.\u00a0 She currently serves as the Chair, Board of Trustees of St. Thomas Episcopal Parish School and Advisory Board Member of Do the Right Thing, Inc.<\/li>\n<li>Roberto Martinez is a partner at Colson Hicks Eidson handling business, products liability, professional negligence, and white-collar criminal defense cases. He served as United States Attorney for the Southern District of Florida and currently serves on the Board of Trustees of Miami-Dade College and on the Florida State Board of Education.<\/li>\n<li>Evian White is Staff Attorney, Tenants\u2019 Rights Project and Project Director, Renters Education and Advocacy Legal (REAL) Lines at Legal Services of Greater Miami, Inc.
