{"id":5038,"date":"2013-02-12T17:02:44","date_gmt":"2013-02-12T20:02:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cdo.law.miami.edu\/?p=5038"},"modified":"2013-02-12T17:02:44","modified_gmt":"2013-02-12T20:02:44","slug":"2012-13-law-student-division-liaison-application-deadline-2152013","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cdo.law.miami.edu\/?p=5038","title":{"rendered":"2012-13 Law Student Division Liaison &#8211; Application Deadline 2\/15\/2013"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Position Description<\/span><\/b>:<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"http:\/\/www.americanbar.org\/content\/aba\/groups\/law_students\/about_us\/leadership\/leadership_opportunities\/lai.html\" href=\"http:\/\/www.americanbar.org\/content\/aba\/groups\/law_students\/about_us\/leadership\/leadership_opportunities\/lai.html\">Law Student Division: Liaison to Forum on Affordable Housing and Community Development Law<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Eligibility<\/span><\/strong><strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To qualify as a candidate, an individual must be:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A law student attending an ABA-approved law school;<\/li>\n<li>An ABA Law Student Division member in good standing (dues must be paid in full for the current bar year by the filing deadline);<\/li>\n<li>A law student in good standing at law school (not on academic probation or suspension) during the 2012-13 academic year;<\/li>\n<li>A law student attending law school during the academic year subsequent to June 1, 2013; and<\/li>\n<li>A law student who is in compliance with submission deadlines and requirements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Application Deadline and Mailing Instructions<\/span><\/strong><strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The liaison application form, your statement and resume <strong>MUST be <\/strong><em><b>POSTMARKED by February 15 <\/b><\/em><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">using an overnight mail service <\/span><\/strong><strong>(UPS or FedEx) <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">to furnish clear proof of sending and receipt<\/span><\/strong>. Applications sent via regular or certified mail are not eligible for certification. This is a &#8220;strict liability&#8221; deadline and requirement.
