The UIA is Open to all the world\u2019s lawyers, both general practitioners and specialists. Its members also include legal professionals, judges, law students and teachers. The UIA is a multilingual and multicultural organisation,<strong> <\/strong>and is the only major international lawyers\u2019 organisation to have adopted French, English and Spanish as its working languages.<\/p>\n<p>Students who wish to participate in this prize must send a dissertation (plea, study, commentary of a practical case) <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>before June 30, 2013<\/strong><\/span> that deals with the following theme: <strong><em>&#8220;Fair Trade: how can we establish rules that are specific and realistic?&#8221;.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Key Information<\/span><\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>Candidates must send the UIA a file containing the following information:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>their written entry, which must be between 15,000 and 20,000 characters long (spaces included);<\/li>\n<li>a summary presentation of the entry in 2,000 characters (spaces included);<\/li>\n<li>a curriculum vitae;<\/li>\n<li>a letter introducing the candidate written by a University law professor;<\/li>\n<li>proof of being enrolled in their University (photocopy of a valid student card or a certificate issued by the University).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These documents may be in English, French or Spanish.<\/p>\n<p>Entries must reach the UIA by letter or <a title=\"link\" href=\"mailto:uiacentre@uianet.org\" target=\"_blank\">email<\/a> by June 30, 2013, at the latest.<\/p>\n<address>Union Internationale des Avocats<\/address>\n<address>25, rue de jour<\/address>\n<address>75001 Paris &#8211; France<\/address>\n<p>For additional information and complete rules, please visit the <a title=\"link\" href=\"http:\/\/www.uianet.org\" target=\"_blank\">website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The International Association of Lawyers (UIA &#8211; Union Internationale des Avocats) brings together over 2, 000 individual members and 200 bar, federation and association members, from more than 110 countries.
