In evaluating a student&#8217;s diversity, the Section will give special consideration to individuals who have overcome social or economic disadvantages such as physical disability, financial constraints or cultural impediments to becoming a law student.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to a placement in a business court clerkship, Diversity Clerkship participants will also receive a stipend of $6,000 to cover living expenses for the duration of the 8-week clerkship.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Application Process<\/span>:<\/strong><strong> <\/strong>To apply for the program, download an <a title=\"http:\/\/maestro.abanet.org\/trk\/click?ref=zpqri74vj_3-1b3kdf9-0-18c0ax31a221x1134&amp;\" href=\"http:\/\/maestro.abanet.org\/trk\/click?ref=zpqri74vj_3-1b3kdf9-0-18c0ax31a221x1134&amp;\">application form<\/a> from the <a title=\"http:\/\/maestro.abanet.org\/trk\/click?ref=zpqri74vj_3-1b3kdf9-0-18c0ax31a220x1134&amp;\" href=\"http:\/\/maestro.abanet.org\/trk\/click?ref=zpqri74vj_3-1b3kdf9-0-18c0ax31a220x1134&amp;\">Diversity Clerkship website<\/a>. In addition to the completed application form, please submit the following materials:<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>1. Resume<\/p>\n<p>2. Official undergraduate and law school transcripts<\/p>\n<p>3. Two letters of recommendation (preferably written specifically for application to the Diversity Clerkship program)<\/p>\n<p>4. Application essay<\/p>\n<p>5. Writing sample from law school<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><em><strong>Application materials must be received by Friday, December 28, 2012<\/strong><\/em>.
