AFSCME and The AFL-CIO Organizing Institute are seeking motivated progressive activists and campaign workers for careers in the Labor Movement.<\/p>\n
The American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees and The AFL-CIO Organizing Institute will be holding a 3-day union organizer training on November 16-18, 2012 in Orlando, FL.\u00a0 If you are looking for an activist\/organizing job following the November 2012 Federal and State Elections this is an excellent opportunity.<\/p>\n
Participants will be trained in the basics of union organizing campaigns, as well as the fundamental skills that organizers need to help workers form and join unions.<\/p>\n
At this training participants will learn:<\/p>\n
From the training, organizers from AFSCME and the AFL-CIO will be selecting talented participants to enter a paid field apprenticeship with the possibility of a permanent organizing position.\u00a0 Participants must be able to travel and potentially relocate.<\/p>\n
