Advising Position<\/span><\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Duties &amp; Responsibilities:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The Assistant Director reports to the Assistant Dean for Career Services. This position interacts extensively with highly talented students, works collaboratively with a dynamic and creative Career Services staff and is involved in the day-to-day operations of a vital and fast-paced service oriented office. Responsibilities include the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provides career counseling to JD students;<\/li>\n<li>Plans, develops and\u00a0implements a comprehensive series of career programs and workshops;<\/li>\n<li>Writes materials for office\u00a0communications including office publications, the website, and blog; and<\/li>\n<li>Serves as a liaison to\u00a0student groups and assists with supervision of student peer advisors and interns.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Requirements:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The candidate must have a J.D., law practice experience, and three to five years of demonstrated career counseling experience. Experience in a law school career services office, knowledge of self-assessment tools, alternative legal and non-legal career paths, and project and event planning experience is strongly preferred. (Note: external candidates will not be able to view this job posting or apply online until September 12.)<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Recruitment and Office Manager Position<\/span><\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>The Recruitment and Office manager coordinates School&#8217;s Early Interview Program, International Summer Employment Program and spring on-campus interview programs, working closely with the Assistant Director for Recruitment and Operations and other members of the OCS team.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Duties and Responsibilities:<\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Serves as primary employer relations\u00a0contact; communicates policies and resolves wide range of logistical\u00a0issues, judging importance independently.<\/li>\n<li>Organizes complex calendar of employer events and student interviews (up to 12,000 interviews annually.)<\/li>\n<li>Maintains data; creates various\u00a0management reports and assists with preparing the office budget.<\/li>\n<li>Assigns and manages on-campus\u00a0interview space.<\/li>\n<li>Manages the International\u00a0Summer Employment Program and LL.M. Overseas Job Fair.<\/li>\n<li>Serves as office manager for\u00a0department: Manages resource library, Web Events calendar for employers,\u00a0employer information in OCS database (CSM) and staff vacation and out of\u00a0office calendar.<\/li>\n<li>Assists with OCS marketing\u00a0and outreach.<\/li>\n<li>Handles variety of financial\u00a0duties: organizes time collection and approval processes for temporary\u00a0employee payroll processes; processes travel reimbursements and office\u00a0bills and handles collection of fees for recruitment programs and employer\u00a0sponsored events.<\/li>\n<li>Works with outside vendors to\u00a0negotiate rates and discounts.<\/li>\n<li>Manages online credit card\u00a0payment system including payment collection and system set-up for various\u00a0programs. <strong><\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Some overtime required during\u00a0three peak periods in summer, fall and spring to coordinate interview\u00a0programs.\u00a0<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Requirements<\/span>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>College background preferred;\u00a0high school graduate or equivalent plus 4-5 years of relevant\u00a0administrative\/programmatic support experience required.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to multi-task, work independently, and problem solve while exercising superb judgment.<\/li>\n<li>Strong written, verbal and communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Strong computer skills including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc), internet technology and web based applications, web page publishing, databases, and reporting tools and software.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">How to Apply:<\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Please <a title=\"link\" href=\"http:\/\/www.employment.harvard.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\">apply on-line<\/a>, select administrative\/staff jobs (external candidates) and then select <strong>Auto req ID #27585BR<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Assistant Director for J.D.
