The CDO from time to time receives requests from Miami Law students or students elsewhere seeking to sublet their apartment and\/or sublease another apartment over the summer. \u00a0 Below is detailed information about sublet opportunities requested by two different law students.<\/p>\n
1. \u00a0A law student at a Midwestern law school is seeking a sublet for up to 4 weeks, from July 28th through August 25th. \u00a0Recognizing that school will begin in early August, she is open to a shorter sublease.<\/p>\n
2. \u00a0A NYC-based law student is looking\u00a0for a room to sublet from May 28 through Aug. 4 that is under $900 a month. \u00a0Something within walking distance (around 10-12 minutes) of the Metrorail\u00a0is ideal. \u00a0 It does not matter if there are additional roommates in the apartment but she would feel more comfortable living with other women.<\/p>\n
Her New York apartment is a two bedroom and she will be subleasing her bedroom. \u00a0Her roommate will be studying for the bar so she will need a quiet and respectful subletter, although she will likely be out of the apartment often. The building is 2 blocks from the East 96th Street stop on the 6 line. It is in an elevator, doorman building. The rent is $1,480 a month. Utilities will be split with her roommate, they average $50-60 a month for internet and electricity (water and gas for cooking are included.) The apartment is available starting the weekend of May 19. \u00a0She is flexible on move-in and -out dates.<\/p>\n
