Opportunities nationwide\u00a060% of internships are with United States Attorney\u2019s Offices (USAO)\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Law students who have completed 1 semester of law school are eligible<\/li>\n<li>A listing of volunteer legal intern positions is available on the <a title=\"link\" href=\"http:\/\/www.justice.gov\/careers\/legal\/volunteer-intern.html\" target=\"_blank\">website<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Decentralized application process. Must submit application materials to each DOJ component and USAO separately\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Each DOJ component and USAO has its own application deadlines, and applicants must adhere to the respective deadlines<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0<strong>NOTE: Most DOJ components and USAOs have early application deadlines so <\/strong><strong>interested individuals should plan to apply at least four months in advance<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>4. \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Experienced Attorney hiring<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Approximately 650+ experienced attorneys hired every year<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Attorneys who are active members in good standing of a bar of any U.S. jurisdiction and have <strong>at least one year <\/strong>of post-J.D. experience are eligible. Some positions require additional experience and specialized expertise\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>All attorney opportunities are listed on the <a title=\"link\" href=\"http:\/\/www.justice.gov\/careers\/legal\/attvacancies.html\" target=\"_blank\">website\u00a0\u00a0<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Decentralized application process. Submit application materials directly to specific DOJ component or USAO in response to specific vacancy announcements; be sure to submit <strong>all <\/strong>application materials requested in the announcement<\/li>\n<li>DOJ components and USAOs differ in accepting unsolicited resumes<\/li>\n<li>Specific hiring contacts are listed on <a title=\"link\" href=\"http:\/\/www.justice.gov\/careers\/legal\/larcontact.html \" target=\"_blank\">DOJ websites<\/a>.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Eligibility<\/strong>: Each DOJ hiring program has different eligibility requirements.
