Loyola University Chicago School of Law is hosting the 2009 Patent Law Interview Program on Thursday, July 30 and Friday, July 31, 2009<\/span><\/b> in Chicago<\/st1:city>, Illinois<\/st1:state><\/st1:place>. This is a nationwide interview program that targets patent law employers, and rising 2L and 3L students interested in pursuing patent law. <\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/o:p>Last year roughly 150 employers, 150 law schools, and 1,500 law students from across the country participated in the program. The program is entirely pre-selected, which means that students submit resumes and bid on interviews with the employers they are interested in, and employers then review the resumes of the students who bid on them and select the students they wish to interview at the program. Last year, approximately half of the participating students were selected for interviews. <\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Who Is Eligible to Participate?<\/span><\/span><\/u><\/b><\/o:p><\/p>\n

Students with undergraduate or graduate degrees in engineering or a technical science should consider registering for the program. You do not need to be patent bar eligible to register, although the vast majority of employers participating in the program are seeking patent bar eligible students<\/u>. If you are uncertain as to whether you should participate, please contact Karen Warren<\/a><\/span>. Please note that ONLY law students returning<\/u> to school in Fall of 2009 may participate<\/span><\/b>. Students graduating this year are NOT eligible. This program is for summer associate and entry-level attorney positions for 2010. <\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/o:p><\/span><\/span>How To Register?<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/u><\/b><\/p>\n

<\/o:p><\/span><\/span>Online student registration for this year\u2019s Patent Law Interview Program is NOW OPEN and will close on Thursday, March 12.<\/span><\/span><\/b> To register, please visit the program website<\/a>. At this stage of registration, you will only need to enter some basic information (you will upload your resume and bid on employers later in the semester). Please note that UM law is listed alphabetically as the University of Miami School of Law in the registration form’s drop down menu of law schools.

<\/o:p><\/span><\/span>The CDO will be paying the $35 registration fee for our students, so you will not be charged anything when you register online.<\/span><\/span> <\/o:p><\/span><\/span> <\/p>\n
