Winston Health Policy Fellowship"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.winstonfellowship.com\/\">David A. Winston Health Policy Fellowship<\/a> provides the opportunity for a law school graduate to expand their knowledge of the political system through firsthand, direct exposure to both public and private sector decision-makers in health policy development in Washington, D.C.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.winstonfellowship.com\/\">David A. Winston Health Policy Fellowship<\/a> offers a 12 to 16 month postgraduate experience to a 2011 graduate.\u00a0 Interested applicants must submit the requested materials to <a href=\"mailto:dquick@law.miami.edu\">Diane Quick<\/a> of the CDO (Room A-112) by <strong>5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 15, 2010.<\/strong> A committee will review the applications and nominate one (1) applicant for the fellowship.<\/p>\n<p>Applicants must submit the following materials:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <strong>A resume<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<strong> A 2-3 page statement<\/strong> <strong>of interest<\/strong> that details your motivation for a career in health policy and a  description of what you hope to gain from the Fellowship, and how your  experiences and education\u00a0will complement the David A. Winston Health  Policy Fellowship.<\/p>\n<p>3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <strong>Three<\/strong> <strong>letters of recommendation; <\/strong>one  from the Dean, Director, or Chair of the program, department, or school  in which you are enrolled; one from a current or former supervisor or  employer; and one from an individual who is knowledgeable about your  academic and\/or leadership experience.<\/p>\n<p>4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <strong>Academic transcripts<\/strong> <strong>(both undergraduate and graduate).<\/strong> Transcripts may be photocopies and need not be sent through the  university. However, a key to interpret coding on transcripts must  accompany the transcript that do not <span style=\"color: #000000;\">use the A-F grading format.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">5.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 A detailed <strong>synopsis<\/strong> of your past and current <strong>extracurricular and volunteer activities<\/strong> in the community and on campus.\u00a0 Do not exceed\u00a02 pages.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The David A.
