The tech sector is continuing to grow rapidly and artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), Blockchain technology and Intellectual Property (IP) law are poised to offer some of the most exciting and challenging career opportunities for today’s students.

As a successful Silicon Valley startup involved in machine learning and AI, we would like to give back by offering our support and encouraging students in the US to be creative while also studying and earning degrees in these more difficult and technical fields. For our second annual scholarship we are offering a $7,500 award to a deserving student who is pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science (CS), Mathematics, Information Technology (IT) or is attending or will attend law school.

Apply Today!

If/When/How, the Center for Reproductive Rights, and the Center on Reproductive Rights and Justice now invite submissions for the 14th annual Sarah Weddington Writing Prize for New Student Scholarship in Reproductive Rights. More information on how to apply, the length and type of accepted submissions, and on the suggested theme for this year’s prize are available via the download button at left.

Winning authors will receive cash prizes: $750 (1st place), $500 (2nd place), or $250 (3rd place), and a copy of the textbook Cases on Reproductive Rights and Justice (Murray & Luker). The first-place winning submission will also be granted a “presumption of publishability” and receive expedited review by the Berkeley Journal of Gender, Law & Justice.

The Palm Beach County Bar Association is Seeking Student Volunteers for its Annual Bench Bar Convention at the Palm Beach County Convention Center

On February 22, 2019, the Palm Beach County Bar Association is once again hosting its annual Bench Bar Convention at the Palm Beach County Convention Center in West Palm Beach where over 1,000 attorneys and judges will be in attendance.  This is the largest local gathering of attorneys and judges who meet to discuss legal issues pertinent to their respective areas of practice.

As with last year’s conference, they are looking for law student volunteers to provide assistance to the participants.  The students will be “information ambassadors”.  This is a great opportunity for students to meet local attorneys and judges.

There are two shifts: (7:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m.) and (1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.).  There will be a telephonic training beforehand so the students are fully prepared.  Students can attend the class sessions, student specific sessions and are welcome to attend the cocktail reception following the event.

Any interested student can contact Jean Middleton. Due to the large number of volunteers that have to be organized, please reach out to Ms. Middleton no later than Monday, February 5th.
