LCLD 1L Scholars Program Job Opportunities Update
The application period for the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity’s (LCLD) 2021 1L Scholars Program is now open. Designed to offer diverse, first-year law students the opportunity to spend a summer working side-by-side with attorneys from LCLD Member organizations, 165 (and counting) law firms and corporations will be hosting summer internships across the country.
In addition to a meaningful summer internship, 2022 1L Scholars also have the opportunity to benefit from:
- Attending the 2022 1L LCLD Virtual Scholars Summit on June 7-9, 2022, which helps students build leadership and networking skills. You can view the agenda from 2021 here as the agenda for 2022 is currently being created.
- Mock interviews with attorneys from selected LCLD Member law firms and LCLD Member corporations.
- Career-development resources and long-term connections with other 1L Scholars via the exclusive 1L LCLD Scholars LinkedIn group. 1L Scholars will be invited to join the LinkedIn group in spring 2022.
- Group Mentoring Program (GMP) events during the summer for 1L Scholars to continue to build their network and participate in professional development sessions
