Attention All Students! Attend Miami-Dade FAWL’s Annual Speed Mentoring Event
Mark your calendars and please join us on October 27, 2015 for Miami-Dade FAWL’s highly regarded Annual Speed Mentoring Event.
UM law students are invited to the sixth annual Speed Mentoring Event, which will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at Shook, Hardy & Bacon’s Miami office located at 201 S. Biscayne Boulevard, Suite 3200, Miami, FL 33130, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The event provides a fun-filled, low-pressure environment for law students to connect with highly respected lawyers and judges who practice throughout South Florida.
Modeled after “speed dating,” the Speed Mentoring Event gives law students the opportunity to meet with judges and attorneys in five-minute intervals to seek advice or simply get to know that practitioner. The Mentoring Committee will subsequently pair students with mentors based on preferences expressed by the participants and the similarities between a student’s interests and the mentor’s practice area(s). Members from the judiciary and lawyers from within the public and private sectors have participated in large numbers in past years.
