2L and 3L students, do you want to work this semester?  Many employers hire students to work as interns or law clerks.  Positions are being posted on Symplicity on a daily basis so now is the time to start looking.  Below is one of the opportunities posted on Symplicity:

Faculty Senate Legal Intern

Intern needed for fall semester to work with the University of Miami Faculty Senate.  3Ls are preferred but 2Ls will be  considered.   The intern will be supervised by Professor Richard Williamson and will require up to 10/hrs. per week.  Salary TBD.

The Faculty Senate is the vehicle by which the Faculty is authorized to share in planning and governance of the university.  Through its committees and as a deliberative and legislative body, the Senate plays an important role in dealing w/academic policies, new program and degree approvals, compensation and the annual budgets, reviews of chairs and deans, and countless other matters of collegial concern and interest.  It is also the vehicle for hearing faculty grievances regarding rank, salary and conditions of employment, as well as appeals on tenure decisions.
